Release Coordinator Requirements

  • Disposition jobs for raw materials (RAWS), packaging components (PACKS), in-process materials (HALBS) transferred to Wanamingo from another facility or customer and finished products (FINS) manufactured in Wanamingo. This includes the rejection, conditional release, or splitting of batches.
  • Utilize inventory and laboratory management systems (SAP, GLIMS) in order to assess disposition and release RAWS, HALBS, PACKS and FINS.
  • Communicate and interact with Planning, Customer Service, Purchasing, Production, Third Party Warehousing, Quality, Vendors, Customers and other Mead Johnson or Third-Party customer personnel as necessary to assess status of batches.
  • Perform release checks for RAWS and HALBS transferred to Wanamingo from another facility and FINS received in the Distribution Centers (DCs)
  • Perform redisposition of batches, including conditional release of HALBS, RAWS and FINS.
  • Perform system tracking result entry and input Job comments in GLIMS.
  • Coordinate the re-assay and expiry extension of materials as needed.
  • Notify vendors of pre-shipment sample results and disposition.
  • Conduct traceability of materials utilizing inventory systems, including mock recall exercise.
  • Attend supply calls and meeting as required.
  • Be available for after hour and weekend support as needed.
  • Maintain tracking of finished product batches from production to release to give real time updates for release timing. Including making due date adjustments in both GLIMS and SAP.

Batch Record Auditing Requirements

  • Responsible for the completion of the QA audit of production batch records.
  • Monitors due dates to ensure audits are completed within the allotted timeframe.
  • Seeks to have any corrections to records made by the appropriate individuals in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with operations to obtain corrections, train on Good Documentation Practices and to identify areas to improve or reduce batch record documentation.
  • Documents the completion of audits in GLIMS for Reckitt products.
  • Responsible for the filing and organization of records so they can be easily accessed for future use in investigations or audits.
  • Maintains the Batch Record audit portion of the Production Log and tracks data for metric reporting.

Additional Duties:

  • Author and maintain all Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions associated with the responsibilities of the position
  • Supports the preparation for external and internal site audits.

Job Requirements:

  • Candidate should have general knowledge of manufacturing processes and be able to engage with personnel to secure information to fulfill job duties.
  • Candidate must be willing to go out to the operations area to engage operators in an effort to drive batch record right the first time and to obtain feedback from operators on ways to improve the process.
  • Candidate should understand Food Safety, HACCP principles, and have a basic understanding of microbiology.
  • Become proficient in applicable quality systems.
  • General knowledge of Quality tools (control charts, sampling plans, capability assessments)
