Job Summary
Vistra's Generation Services engineering and subject matter expert teams serve Vistra's power generation fleet of assets by providing engineering and technical expertise. Engineering support ranges from providing recommendations for operations and maintenance practices, retrofit and repair design specifications, troubleshooting and analysis of equipment failures, development of standardization procedures, and much more. The successful candidate will work with a civil/structural engineer and other team members to support the generation plants' structural engineering needs.Job Description
The successful candidate will work with the Generation Services engineering team to support the plants with structural engineering programmatic and emergent needs. The activities will include:
- Support fleet program information gathering and management
- Develop design information for structural component repairs
- All other duties as assigned
- Basic business acumen training
- The internship will also include some rotational exposure to other departments within the Generation Services organization to demonstrate additional roles and services within the organization.
Candidates must be currently pursuing and have completed at least one year of study for an undergraduate degree in civil engineering or a related engineering degree.
