Globe University/Minnesota School of Business Minneapolis Campus has an immediate opening for a Graduate Studies Program Coordinator.
Provide support to program, faculty and students as well as support administration and the campus as a whole. Program Coordinatorwill coordinate with the Dean of Students in evaluating applications for admission into the graduate program. Program Coordinator teaching loads beyond the courses that are specifically-defined below, will be determined on a quarterly basis taking into account factors such as program size, administrative responsibilities, additional duties, etc. Program Coordinator position description includes the following responsibilities as well as all duties of an instructor.





General Campus Responsibilities:

    Teaching/Academic Advising Responsibilities
  • Teach CM600 and CM651; lead instructor when multiple sections are taught
  • Academic advisor for CM600 and CM651 students; co-advisor with other instructors when multiple sections are taught.
  • Coordinate/manage practicum experiences.
    Recommend if/when co-advisors are needed; to be discussed with the Network Dean and approved by the DOF.
    Faculty/Academic
  • Collaborate with Network Dean to mentor new masters programs faculty.
  • Co-teach with new CM600/CM651 instructors if/as assigned by DOF.
  • Collaborate with DOF to find substitutes as needed to cover classes for absent instructors.
  • Substitute for classes if available during regularly scheduled work hours or online.

    Student Administration
  • Participate in registration/scheduling processes as requested/directed by the DOF/DOS.
  • Consult with DOF/DOS to address student concerns
  • Sponsor student clubs/organizations for program as requested by DOF, or Network Dean.
  • Work with Student Services to update and maintain department bulletin boards.
  • Attend New Student Orientation; work as directed by online DOS to review online orientations.

    Faculty Administrative
  • In collaboration with Network Dean
  • Review instructor competencies and make recommendations to the DOF.
  • Review actions that support the Dean of Faculty’s efforts to deal with concerns regarding instructor and/or departmental performance.
  • Consult with Dean of Faculty on issues regarding disciplinary actions taken against students/faculty specific to the program.
  • Assist with addressing instructor concerns about program/students/teaching as needed by discussing recommendations/resolutions with DOF/DOS.
  • Oversee conditions and maintain classroom and or lab equipment and supplies.
  • Assist various campus departments as requested.
    Provide a presence to online, evening, and adjunct faculty



General Program Responsibilities:


    Program Communication and Compliance
  • Work with the Network Dean to discuss/help ensure compliance with academic, regulatory and professional accreditation.
  • Attend all business administration local advisory board meetings; discuss recommendations with Network Dean as needed.
  • Support the Network Dean to effectively evaluate, communicate, and formulate responses to outcome measurements

    Curriculum
  • Provide feedback to Network Dean regarding curriculum
  • Collaborate with Network Dean to ensure incorporation of up-to-date curriculum and materials in classes by monitoring courses, competencies, textbooks, syllabi, program specific policies, equipment and supply requests following corporate purchasing policy.
  • Participate in quarterly masters programs faculty meetings and campus-specific faculty meetings.
  • Support the facilitation of the quarterly masters programs faculty meetings as requested by the Network Dean.
  • Identify and promote to faculty, classes, workshops and seminars as opportunities to receive professional development.
  • Collaborate with the Dean to make recommendations for library acquisitions and graduate-level research usage.

    Program Promotion
  • Assist with program promotion on campus and in the community.
  • Participate with admissions at convention booths, education fairs, and other community events.
  • Keep campus admissions representatives current with accurate program information by regular/informal meetings with admissions and campus administration.
  • Assist with fundraisers and student events

    Placement
  • Work with campus Career Services to promote job leads and strengthen relations with local employers.
  • Train Career Services on career opportunities specific to the program.

    Other
  • Pursue professional growth and continuing education (if applicable) to stay current with industry trends.
  • Other duties as assigned by the DOF.




Education/work experience requirements:


  • J.D., D.B.A., or Ph.D. in business/management related major required
  • Online and residential instruction experience required; graduate-level required
  • M.B.A. degree preferred
  • Business experience preferred
  • Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills with ability to show empathy in student situations.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment where exceptional service and customer satisfaction is a key element of company brand.
